Fever is the body’s most important warning signal — a rise in body temperature above 98.6°F (37°C) indicating that the immune system is fighting an infection or inflammation. While most fevers in adults resolve on their own, fevers above 103°F, fevers lasting more than 3 days, or fever accompanied by rash, breathlessness or severe headache require immediate medical evaluation.
Bangalore’s dengue and typhoid season, combined with the city’s proximity to malaria-endemic areas, makes fever evaluation particularly important. Missing dengue can be life-threatening. Missing typhoid means weeks of suffering that antibiotics could resolve in days. At MiracleHealth Hospital, Uttarahalli, Dr. Apoorva R R (MBBS, MD) evaluates fever systematically — using clinical assessment and targeted blood tests to identify the cause and prescribe the correct treatment.
Our in-house lab provides same-day results for dengue NS1 antigen, Widal test (typhoid), malaria smear, CBC and blood culture — so your treatment starts the same day.
